Jack,
Lots of people think that being strong means displaying your power. Not always. Strength isn't necessarily about showing people what you're capable of. Its about knowing what you're made of. Sometimes its about the little things that nobody will ever know about except for you and God. Its not reacting. Its not trying to win just because you're right. Its not getting your way, and accepting it. Strength is the quiet moment when you apologize. Strength is the extra work you put in for others without complaint. Strength is smiling when you're hurt, saying sorry when you're wrong and congratulating your competitor. Its also about asking for help when you need it. There are more moments of strength that go unseen than will ever be known. These are the actions that connect us all in ways that we'll never realize.
Most people will tell you otherwise, but being strong doesn't mean that everyone will see it. But, you will. Being strong means being able to enjoy those moments. They're more satisfying. They're more rewarding. They're more defining.
